A delegation today gave evidence to the Portuguese Parliament about the situation in Burma.

The delegation consisted of Dr Thaung Htun from the NCGUB, Zoya Phan, Campaigns Manager at Burma Campaign UK, and Mark Farmaner, Director of Burma Campaign UK.
The delegation gave evidence to a joint hearing of the Foreign Affairs, Constitutional Affairs, and Constitutional and Social Affairs committees. The delegation called on Portuguese MPs to pressure the Portuguese government to do more to promote human rights and democracy in Burma. MPs offered their support.
