Bangkok (Mizzima) – Burmese authorities will raise the passenger tax at Rangoon International Airport starting April 1 for Burmese citizens going abroad.
The tax will be increased from 3,000 kyat (US $3.41) to US $10 or 10 Foreign Exchange Certificates, according to travel agency personnel.
The fee for foreigners, $10, remains unchanged, the travel agency said.
